Worker Screening Checks
All providers on FindMySupport are required to hold a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check. This check ensures that workers have been assessed as suitable to work with people with disability.
What is an NDIS Worker Screening Check?
- A nationally consistent check for workers in the NDIS
- Assesses whether a person poses a risk to people with disability
- Includes a criminal history check and other relevant assessments
- Must be renewed periodically to remain valid
Registered vs Unregistered Providers
Registered Providers
Registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and must comply with the NDIS Practice Standards.
Unregistered Providers
Can provide supports to self-managed and plan-managed participants. While they don't need NDIS registration, they must still comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct.
